Timer
It is your responsibility to keep the meeting on time. When called upon, give a brief presentation (2 minutes) on the use of the timing device: how and when you will turn on the lights and when you will initiate applause.
Be sure you arrive early enough to make sure the timing device and stop watch are working. If you need assistance ask an experienced member before the meeting begins.
Check with either the Toastmaster or the speakers the duration of the speech. Timing starts with the first word spoken. Applause is initiated by you when the speaker goes overtime: 30 seconds for speakers 15 seconds for Table Topics
Unless stipulated otherwise by the Chairman times are as follows:
| Opening Message | 2 minutes |
| Grammarian | 2 minutes |
| Joke Master | 3 minutes |
| Business Session | 15 minutes |
| Table Topics: each speaker | 2 minutes |
| Evaluator | 3 minutes |
| Speech Evaluation | 3 minutes |
| Grammarian report | 2 minutes |
| Ah Counter report | 2 minutes |
| Grammarian and Ah combined | 3 minutes |
| General Evaluator | 8 - 10 minutes |
