I joined Toastmasters because I wanted to speak better, think faster and more clearly. I was able to achieve all of this. During the first few speeches, I could hardly speak, my mind was blank and my legs were shaking. I could hardly talk for 5 minutes. After months of practice and encouragement from fellow toastmasters, I have gained confidence and the ability to express myself more clearly. I feel great speaking in front of others and I am also taking up the leadership role and learning how to take charge and build consenses to achieve a better club.
Toastmasters has surpassed all my expectations and I really recommend it to anyone who wishes to improve their social and personal skills.
