Nes Gatus, CTM
Vice President Education
Vice President of Rich-Del Toastmasters (2005-2006)
I have had my first taste of Toastmastering in 1996 in a far-away place called Saudi Arabia. The experience was short-lived as my family and I migrated to Canada the following year. It was only in the late 2004 that I decided to re-live the experience and the ride is so great ever since.
My speaking skills has greatly improved and the fear of public-speaking is slowly but surely disappearing. Joining speech competitions has definitely bolstered my self-confidence. Now... I do realize that with enough GUTS and proper training from my fellow toastmasters, GLORY is just within arms reach.
Every Rich-del executive and member has provided the solemn promise to assist and guide every new toastmaster in achieving their goals. And we can all reach our dreams by 'Participating, participating, participating'.
So what are we waiting for?
